News & Fire Calls

Late last evening, your local Montgomery and Rocky Hill fire companies were alerted to a reported smoke condition within a residence on County Route 601.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire from the rear of the home and immediately placed multiple attack lines in service to keep the fire from spreading to the upstairs bedrooms. Searches were performed to ensure all occupants were accounted for and the building was ventilated as crews progressed through the structure.

Members remained on scene for an extended period of time for overhaul operations due to the number of void spaces encountered during the incident, and the scene was turned over to the Bureau of Fire Prevention. Many thanks to our EMS and mutual aid partners for their tremendous help throughout the incident.

Remember, our fire company is comprised of your friends, family and neighbors. We’re always looking for new members to join, so stop by the station on County Route 518 any Wednesday at 7pm to learn more!
